A new route to excellence

October 5th 2009 saw the launch of an exciting new venture for Tom Peters Company; our first Distance Learning Programme for consultants and other OD professionals who want to become licensed users of the Excellence Audit in their businesses.

The Excellence Audit is our proprietary diagnostic tool that provides managers with hard data about the soft attributes of their departmental team, division, or whole business. Tom Peters’ aficionados know that it takes a combination of Systems plus Passion to achieve Excellence. Systems are often analysed to death inside companies. Passion is usually a hostage to fortune. The Excellence Audit measures both and most importantly, it lets leaders see how engaged their key people are with their work and with the direction the business is taking. In Tom Peters’ terminology, it is a Re-imagine toolkit for your organisation.

Since its internal company launch in 2007, the Excellence Audit has been restricted to Tom Peters Company consultants serving TPC clients. This new venture is opening up a completely new route to market for us, mobilising a global network of professionals, and reaching out into markets, industries, countries, and cultures that we have not previously been able to touch.

Our vision is to build an International Force for Excellence, a network of consultants, each retaining their own independent practice but who have learned to integrate the Excellence Audit into their approach. These consultants will join a growing active TPC community of users.

Our first Distance Learning Programme attracted participants from Latin America, USA, UK, Mainland Europe and Australasia.
